Maite Perroni is a Mexican actress, singer, songwriter, producer, and model. She was a member of pop group RBD. The other members of the group were Anahí, Christian Chávez, Alfonso Herrera, Dulce María, and Christopher von Uckermann.
Maite was born in Mexico City, Mexico, the daughter of María Teresa “Maite” Beorlegui Estévez and Francisco Javier Perroni Hernández, and grew up in Guadalajara. The surname Beorlegui is Basque. She also has Italian, Spanish, and possibly other, ancestry. Maite is married to producer Andrés Tovar, with whom she has a daughter.
Maite’s patrilineal line can be traced back to her third great-grandfather, Rocco (or Roque in Spanish) Perroni.
Maite’s paternal grandfather was Agustín Perroni Portas (the son of José Silverio Roque Perroni Oronvqeue and Isaura Luisa de Jesús Portas Domínguez). Agustín was born in Tuxtepec, Oaxaca, and is listed as “blanco” (white) on his birth record. Roque was the son of an Italian emigrant, Saverio Perroni (or Silverio Perroni Pachil in Spanish), and of María Juana Rita Oronvqeue Hernández. Isaura was the daughter of José Agustín del Corazón de Jesús Portas López and María Antonia “Tonche” Domínguez [García].
